The challenge
A single listing form can't serve a car, an apartment and a used drill equally well — each category needs different fields, filters and photos, but users still expect one simple app, not four.
Our approach
We designed one flexible listing and search system that adapts its fields and filters to the category selected, instead of forcing every item through the same generic form.
Category-aware listings
The fields a seller fills in change with what they're selling — a car asks for mileage, a flat asks for bedrooms.
Filters that match the category
Search narrows by the attributes that actually matter for that kind of listing.
One app, many markets
Real estate, vehicles and goods share the same navigation and trust patterns throughout.
Experience direction
Browse by category first
The home screen sorts by what people are shopping for, not a single undifferentiated feed.
Photos that carry the listing
A gallery-first layout, since a classifieds ad lives or dies on its images.
Contact without friction
Direct messaging and calling from the listing, with no extra steps to reach a seller.
Product screens
Compositions from the browse, listing detail and seller posting flows.
Design system
A warm amber accent on a neutral base, built to let listing photos — not chrome — carry the visual weight of the screen.
Outcome
The team shipped a single codebase that handles four very different listing categories without feeling generic in any of them — a foundation that can take on new categories without a redesign.
One flexible listing system across four categories
Category-specific search and filtering
Built to extend to new categories without a rebuild
